Chipped Tooth
A chipped tooth is when a small layer/part of the visible tooth surface has broken off
Treatment Option:
- Try to find the broken piece of tooth and store it in water/saline/milk and bring it to the dentist to fix it back, if possible
- Restoration/filling of tooth if small part involved
- If any pink/red area is seen in the broken/chipped area, that indicates nerve exposure/nerve damage, and must visit the dentist immediately.
Cracked Tooth
A cracked tooth refers to a crack or fracture line on the tooth
Treatment Option:
- Without pain: Visit the dentist for further treatment. Will be restored.
- With pain: Visit the dentist for further treatment. It might or might not require root canal treatment.
